A harsh space to learn lessons,
a quiet place to hear whispers.
His quest, this immense expanse,
like one hand cupping another,
he wanders this living space.
Oh the agonies it summons.
Alone to ponder the world,
a mind with infinite oppression,
must purge his thoughts.
Between the devil and the angels,
temptations and trials are his mission.
He suffers for the wealth of wisdom
found in the silence of the desert.
